Test an approved Cloud-to-Cloud integration

You can update your rejected or launched Cloud-to-cloud integration by creating a separate test project, similar to the Actions on Google Console. You must create and test your new project before updating your integration.

Test your new project

To create and test your new project:

Go to the Developer Console

  1. Create a new Google Cloud project. Use this project to test your updates.
  2. Create a cloud integration and copy your information from the launched integration and update any information that needs to be changed. a. Note: Make sure the name entered here is different from your live projects.
  3. Click Save, which saves the Cloud-to-cloud integration configuration.
  4. Click Next: Test to continue.
  5. On the Configure your test screen, provide a name for your test and select the devices to test from the list of devices. a. Note: Make sure the configuration for the test is the same as the one used in the launched integration.
  6. Under Test settings: a. Enter the time for Report State and Request Sync. a. Click the toggle switch for the following options: 1. Request Sync 1. Scene 1. Enable secondary user verification 1. Manual verification
  7. Click the Next: Test environment button.
  8. Click Start to run the test.
  9. When the test is finished, click Save results for certification.

After you're done testing, you can now update your launched integration.

To update your integration:

Go to the Developer Console

  1. From the list of projects, click Open next to your launched or rejected project.
  2. Go to Develop and update your integration information, then click Save.
  3. Click Next: Certify to continue to the Certify section since you can't retest the integration.
  4. The integration will appear under Ready for certification review. Click Submit to submit your integration for certification.
  5. Make sure to complete all sections of the Submit certification page and all required information has been uploaded.

    a. Under Verification info, provide the following test account credentials: 1. User Name 1. Password 1. 2FA PIN (if required) 1. OAuth page images 1. Product links 1. Testing project's Google Home Test Suite results ID. See the Get the Test Suite result ID section to get your Test Suite Result ID. 1. Safety compliance

  6. Click Submit when ready.

  7. Your integration appears in the Submitted for Certification section.

  8. Your integration will be reviewed and approved by Google.

Get the Test Suite result ID

To find your Test Result ID:

Go to the Developer Console

  1. From the list of projects, click Open next to the project you want to work with.

  2. In the navigation menu on the left side of the page, go to Cloud-to-cloud > Test.

  3. Click View under Test history. This will open the Test Suite Test history page.

  4. Click Results next to your project. This will open the Results page.

  5. Copy the Test Result ID next to the Project ID.
